After I was in Kay’s I was very shocked and disappointed. Went into Kay’s with my 16 year old son, who works and saved his own money to buy himself a beautiful Citizen watch. When asked if we needed help, I said maybe in a minute he’s looking right now. I heard one lady say “just window shopping” So I spoke up and said no he’s not just “window shopping. He’s interested in this watch but online it’s $250 less. Will you honor the online price?” One lady said yes, then the other lady said no so I asked if they could check with someone high up for the correct answer, she said “on the incase he doesn’t have enough money for a watch like this, here are a few cheaper options” I said “no!! This is what he’s interested in and if he didn’t have enough we wouldn’t have came in. “ She said you asked for a discount? I said no I absolutely didn’t- I asked to you to honor the online price you have listed that’s $250 less than what’s in store. At this point I was very disappointed disgusted and somewhat insulted so I politely said Nevermind we will go to a different jewelry store just across from you and buy one. This photo shows him at Ashcroft He purchased his $500 watch at Ashcroft & Oak for $270 because they DID honor the sale price online. This woman was very helpful and adjusted my sons watch several times so it felt comfortable to him An he was able to buy himself a watch a take this momma to lunch lol . Kay’s needs get their act together and not assume, stereotype or use degrading phrases- We will be going back to ashcroft in the future.
